The Newton Nomadic theater will kick off its new season with a free! outdoor Nomad Story Slam at 7 PM on Saturday (Sept 8) at the Hyde Bandstand, 90 Lincoln St in Newton Highlands. The theme of the night is “it was my fault”.
If you never been to one, you should. These events were inspired by the Moth Radio Hour. They are evenings of story telling where anyone can throw their name in the hat to tell their own 5 minute, true, “it was my fault” story.
Come to listen to the stories or if you’re a bit more adventurous come and tell your own story.
This is the final evening of the Hyde Playground’s fabulous summer long Summer in the Highlands series of free concerts, films, and theater that has been running every weekend since June.
Saturday’s Nomad Story Slam will feature special guest host Mike Reilly, one of the Nomad Story Slam’s most popular and funny story tellers.

If you haven’t been before, you shouldn’t miss it. These nights of story telling are inspired by the Moth Radio Hour. Anybody can come and throw their name in the hat to tell a true story. They should be roughly five minutes long, no notes, just let it rip.

The battle for the English crown continues. As tensions rise between York and Lancaster it is unclear who has the right to the throne. With the Duke of York gaining support, who will ultimately reach power and glory: the Duke or King Henry VI?
