To the thousands of attendees for 2014 Summer in the Highlands we want to thank you for being part of a fun and enjoyable summer. We had a great time this summer with bands, concerts, plays, symphonies and Red Sox games.
The Summer in The Highlands entertainment was paid for by the Newton Highlands Community Development Corporation (NHCDC) a non profit corporation that runs the Hyde Community Center. The Hyde Playground was used in association with the Newton Highlands Neighborhood Area Council an elected group of residents from the Newton Highlands Village.
The NHCDC with Commodore Builders and numerous vendors who donated time and materials built the bandstand on NHCDC property. We are still taking donations to help defray the $50,000 payment the NHCDC made to pay off bandstand construction expenses that were not donated by vendors.
For more information to make a bandstand donation contact John Rice at 617-201-7088 or director@hydecenter.org. To all the people who already made an NHCDC/Hyde donation, thank you!
